Faculty

Euroaula’s faculty is constituted by graduates and doctors with professional and teaching experience in the tourist sector. To make the system more active and dynamic, professors offer personalised and on-line tutorials. These tutorial sessions are aimed at improving students’ reflecting powers and at establishing professor-student links.

Dr. Josep Arenas Cabot. Degree in Economics and Business Science from the Universitat de Barcelona. PhD in Sociology from the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca. He teaches the subject of Final Project, in the Research modality.

 

Mr. Juan José Arredondo Fernández. Degree in Law. Professor of Tourist Legislation in the B.A. in Tourism.

 

Ms. Mayte Camí Sánchez. Degree in Psychology from the Universitat de Barcelona, Post-graduate studies and further specialisation in the area of Human Resources. Professor of the subjects of Human Resources Management and Practicum, as well as holding the post of Head of Vocational Courses (CFGS) and of Euroaula’s Employment Bureau.

 

Mr. David Valls Roig. Degree in Information Sciences, UAB. Post-graduate Course in Business Communication, Universitat Pompeu Fabra. MBA from Esade. Present Manager of Euroaula, as well as professor of Tourist Marketing and director of Final Projects in the Research modality.

 

Ms. Pia Oliván Plazaola. Degree in Economics from the Universitat Central de Barcelona. Master in International Management from Esade. Exports Manager in different enterprises, 1987-1993. Head of Studies and Professor of Economy, Accounting, Organisation and Management of Tourist Enterprises, Analysis of Accounting Systems. Director of Final Projects (Modality: Creation of Tourist Enterprises)

 

Dr. Dafne Solá Parera. Degree in English Philology, UAB. Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics, in the major of Teaching English as a Foreign Language, University of South Carolina, USA. PhD in Humanities in the specialisation of Comparative Literature, Universitat Pompeu Fabra.  Teacher of English in the B.A. in Tourism.

 

Dr. Elena Puiggròs Román. PhD in Sociology, Degree in Geography and History, section Art History. AQU certification as Associated Teacher. Involved in tourist academia since 1991. Research projects and publications to be highlighted: (2004) A public for museums, museums for the public, Xarxa d’Escoles Universitàries de Turisme  from the UdG; (2006)”Internal tourism: the value of cultural heritage. The Terrassa case”, I International Conference on Tourist Management of Cultural Heritage, Marchena (Sevilla). Professor of Territorial Tourist Resources, Cultural Heritage, The Geography of Tourism and the Sociology of Tourism.

 

Dr. Silvia Otero Senra. PhD in Sociology from the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca in Madrid. Degree in Pedagogy from the Universitat de Barcelona.  High-Level Technician in Prevention of Working Risks (specialisation in Ergonomics and Psycho-sociology). Professor of the following subjects in Tourism: “Organisation and Administration of Accommodation and Catering Establishments”, “Structures and Facilities”, “Tourism and the Environment”. Director-Coordinator and Lecturer of the Seminar/Workshop:  Management of Rural Tourism, held in Chengdu (Sichuan) CHINA.  Co-authoress of a book entitled: (2003) Rural Tourism and Local Economy. Universidad de Guadalajara. México.
